Creating custom commemorative coins that depict a very special Citroën collection model was a challenging yet incredibly interesting project for our company to undertake. For our customer, pure silver custom commemorative coins minting was the wreath of his many years of work. The coins for the project were a symbol of the end of a very special and important period in his life.

Our client worked with his colleagues for 23 years, from 1992 to 2015, to restore the Citroën Old-timer Roadster Cabriolet. The Old-timer’s exclusiveness, as well as the team’s work, had to be celebrated in an unusual way. And the custom commemorative coins from Coin USA were the perfect solution.

Silver Custom Commemorative Coins with Personalized Designs

The Citroën that our client began restoring 23 years ago has gained a prestigious look. We wanted to reflect in the custom coins the considerable time spent on the restoration and its current luxurious appearance.

On the front side of the excellent 999 silver custom commemorative coins, a detailed picture of the Citroën is seen. As a result, it’s possible to clearly catch the tire profile, the grille, and all the details inside the collectible car. This is the result of very intricate and detailed work with our graphics department during the production phase. On the personalized custom commemorative coins, the image of the car is framed by the Latin inscription REDIVIVA E RVINIS REFLORESCIS GLORIA. Translated, it means “Risen from the ruins, once again blooming with glory.”

On the back side of the custom commemorative coins, we have used a special typeface called “Castellar.” It is similar to the typefaces used by the Romans. Thus, the connection between the new and the old is not only guessed at the sight of the Old-timer but also on the custom commemorative coins themselves.
